Navigating the postpartum period can be challenging, and choosing the right nursing pads plays a crucial role in making this time more comfortable and less stressful for you. Whether you are dealing with heavy postpartum bleeding or managing breast milk leaks, the right pads provide the protection and comfort you need to focus on your recovery and bonding with your newborn. This guide highlights top nursing pads designed to support you through this important phase, helping you stay dry, comfortable, and confident every day.
When selecting the best nursing pads, we focused on several key factors that matter most to you during the postpartum period. Absorbency is essential to keep you dry and prevent leaks, especially on heavy flow days or during breastfeeding. Comfort and skin-friendliness are vital since your skin may be sensitive or sore after delivery. We also considered the fit and security of the pads to ensure they stay in place without bunching or slipping. Convenience features such as individual wrapping, disposability, or reusability were evaluated to suit different lifestyles and preferences. Finally, we looked at customer feedback and ratings to ensure the products deliver on their promises and provide real benefits for new mums.
If you’re navigating the postpartum phase, these Abena Premium Maternity Pads are designed to make your life a bit easier. They’re super absorbent and shaped to fit comfortably, so you don’t have to worry about leaks whether you’re resting or on the move. The breathable material helps keep your skin feeling fresh, which is a real bonus when you’re dealing with sensitive areas after delivery. Plus, they stick securely to your usual underwear with self-adhesive strips, so no awkward shifting throughout the day. Whether you’re managing heavy flow right after birth or just want reliable protection, these pads have got you covered without feeling bulky. They’re also eco-friendly, which is a nice touch if you’re thinking about sustainability. Overall, they’re a solid choice for everyday use in those first few weeks and beyond.
Mums rave about how these pads handle heavy bleeding without leaks and stay comfortable all day. Many mention the soft, breathable fabric and how the pads fit well in regular underwear without feeling bulky.
Excellent exactly what I needed. Have very heavy periods and normal sanitary pads just aren’t cutting it so I never feel well protected from leaks. These are large, they cover back, front and sides great, so well protected. They are thick but not bulky at all, sit flat and have great adhesion. Super soft, super absorbent, comfortable and no odour. I will be using these from now on. Well priced, excellent quality. Highly recommend.
– NNH
It’s the best maternity pad I used. Big and thick padded, rarely leaks so I feel safe sleeping at night. I used it after delivery, and also on normal period now especially heavy days. I can’t use other products now as it feels too thin. Only problem is it’s a big bag with lots of pads. Each pad is not individually wrapped, so it’s a bit difficult to use when outside.

When you’re juggling the ups and downs of breastfeeding, Lansinoh Disposable Breast Pads make a subtle but huge difference. They’re designed to be super absorbent, so you don’t have to worry about leaks sneaking through your bra during the day or night. The pads are thin and soft, which means they feel comfortable against your skin without adding any bulk under your clothes. Plus, the two adhesive strips keep them firmly in place, so you won’t find yourself constantly adjusting them. Each pad comes individually wrapped, making it easy to grab one on the go, whether you’re heading out or just need a quick change. They’re perfect for everyday use and especially handy when you’re out and about or packing your hospital bag. If you want something reliable that just works quietly in the background, these are a solid choice.
Mums love how these pads manage leaks without feeling bulky or uncomfortable. The secure fit and soft material get lots of praise, along with the convenience of individual wrapping for use on the go.
Very comfortable, reliable disposable breast pads. I have tried Boots and Superdrug own brand and these are much better. The absorbency is great as it contains the leaking milk. Depending on your milk flow you can leave them in for the whole day. With the cheaper alternatives they do not feel as dry against the skin and also these do not tend to let the milk through to your bra. By comparison I had to change the cheaper brands 3-4 times in the day so for me these are more cost effective. The adhesive tape is much better than other brands as it offers two spots of adhesion and can be repositioned without losing tack if you make a mistake in positioning first time. Due to the shape of the pad which is sealed, just ever so slightly to either side of the semi circle packed pad it fits the breast really well as it cups more than other cheaper pads which don’t have this design.

The Lansinoh Disposable Breast Pads (Pack of 60) have been an absolute lifesaver during my breastfeeding journey. They handle leaks effortlessly, keeping me dry and comfortable day and night. The pads are super soft and gentle against sensitive skin, contoured to fit the natural shape of the breast, which makes them feel more like part of your clothing rather than an add-on. They stay in place securely thanks to the two adhesive strips on the back, so there’s no shifting around in your bra. Each pad is individually wrapped, which is great for popping into your handbag or nappy bag—super convenient when you’re on the go. Being disposable means they’re perfect for busy mums who don’t want the extra laundry of washable pads.

These breast pads are amazing! After trying several brands, these stood out for their absorbency. I was waking up soaked through with other pads, but with Lil-Lets, I can sleep longer without worrying about leaks. They’re soft and don’t irritate sore nipples, which is a huge relief. I also love that they’re individually wrapped, making it easy to carry extras in my bag. Mums love how these pads stay put without bunching or leaking, and how comfortable they feel even during long days. The individual wrapping is a big plus for those busy moments when you need a quick change away from home.
These pads are 100% worth spending the extra money on. I started off using supermarket branded pads thinking surely a breast pad is a breast pad, how different could they be? Turns out I was so wrong and not all breast pads are made equal. The Lansinoh breast pads come individually wrapped which is great for on the go, they are a much better shape and larger than supermarket pads, they are thinner and more discreet, they have 2 sticky applicators rather than one meaning they stay in place better, they are so soft and not irritating on the skin in the slightest and most importantly they are so much more absorbent and lock moisture in leaving the surface dry and comfortable. I found I was constantly changing the supermarket brand pads as they leaked and were wet and uncomfortable which meant there was no real cost benefit in using them and now I am much more comfortable and happy breastfeeding. I am so glad I discovered these pads and will now not use any other brand.
– Sabina J
I have tried lots of brands of breast pads and have never tried any that come close to these ones. Brilliant, prevents leaks, comfortable to wear, usually stay in place (think it’s more my fault when they wrinkle down). Brilliant, worth the extra money for these.

I recall leaking badly with my first and how much I hated disposable breast pads – how they scrunch up, stick to the breast, go lumpy, and get hot. This time I was determined to try reusables and after a month I can say they are amazing. The packaging is really cute and quality with an added mesh wash-bag. Pads are a good size and shaped to fit the breasts. They are so soft and nice on the skin, absorb a lot (I only changed them twice in 24 hours when my milk came in), stay in place, easy to wash, and never leaked through. Plus, they’re better for the environment. Highly recommend!
– Natalja
These were absolutely lovely and worth every penny. I found disposables quite scratchy and was concerned about the waste. These came in a lovely box and felt like a gift to myself. The pads are soft, absorbent, and I usually go through a pair during the day and one at night. No leaks or signs of wear and tear, the quality is definitely noticeable. The only downside is they take a bit longer to dry, but a quick stint on the radiator or overnight on a rack sorts that out. A perfect addition for any mum on her breastfeeding journey.
